Healthcare Fiasco

The newspaper is full of it: Historic moment in American history, blah blah blah, Obama the hero for pushing through the new health care bill by 219-212 votes.
So what? if one could believe that this was more than a PR stunt or something the majority of Americans want, which by what i have heard, they don't, it might be a good thing.

Consider that some Americans are against this new health care bill because they see it as stifling the American entrepeneurial spirit, or that Texas is going to take the Federal government to court to repeal this legislation because this type of social conscience doesnt fit into their red neck, slavery backrounded little minds!!
One Republican Senator has already started raising money for a "Repeal it now" campaign.
If i could believe that this is'nt a money making racket for everyone concerned (the nay sayers as well as the supporters) i could rest easily tonight, but i wont.
America has shown the way of how to exploit itself to the full until there is no soul or resources left to resotore the status quo. It is bankrupt in so many areas!!
Here in Europe the social system was created to protect people and communities from big corporations and flash in the pan politicians, whose decisions are based on garnering the popular vote more than trying to change our lives for the better.

What i dont get about the American political scene is that Obama had to even convince representatives of his own party that this health bill was a good thing, so that they would vote for the bill, this cosidering he has a strong majority in the house , it should have been a walk in the park.

So my only prayer is that for the poor and minorities in the States, that they have more access to better healthcare and that those fat cats at the top of the ladder have to pay a little more to make it happen.

We think that the Democratic political model is the only way!!! all we do is vote in idiots every couple of years who only have their own best interests at heart and who when we try to approach about our concerns of the way they are governing , make us believe that their representation of us only goes so far.
